Onwards Scheduler Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
Onwards Scheduler is a private tool I run to publish videos and posts to social media accounts on behalf of the businesses and shows I work with. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what it accesses, what it keeps, and how to cut it off. It sits alongside the main Onwards Privacy Policy, which covers this website.
1. Who I am
Onwards Scheduler is operated by Yash Singh, trading as Onwards, a sole trader based in Glasgow, Scotland. I am the data controller for the data described here. Questions or complaints go to yash@onwards.marketing.
2. YouTube API Services
Onwards Scheduler uses YouTube API Services. When a channel owner connects their YouTube channel, they sign in with Google and grant two permissions: to upload videos to that channel, and to read basic details of that channel and its videos. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to that sign-in and to data Google handles: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
With that access, the scheduler:
- uploads the videos the channel owner asked me to post, with their title, description, tags, privacy setting, “made for kids” answer and thumbnail;
- reads each uploaded video back to confirm it arrived on the right channel, and reads the connected channel’s ID and name once a day to check the connection still works.
It does not read viewer data, comments, analytics, subscribers, or any channel other than the one connected. It does not edit or delete existing videos.
3. What the scheduler stores
- Access credentials for each connected account, kept on a private server I operate, used only to publish the posts the account owner asked for.
- The posts themselves: the captions, the video or image files, and the scheduled times I was given.
- What each platform returned: the ID of each published post and its link, used to show that it went live.
For YouTube, the video ID and link are checked with YouTube at least every 30 days. If the video still exists on the connected channel, the record is kept; if it has been deleted, or the channel owner has revoked access, the ID and link are deleted from the scheduler.
4. What the scheduler shares
Nothing, with anyone. A post goes only to the platform it was scheduled for. The scheduler shows no adverts and no third party serves content in it. Its dashboard is used only by me, and sets a single sign-in cookie so it knows it is me. It uses no tracking or advertising cookies and stores nothing else on your device.
5. Revoking access and deleting data
You can cut the scheduler off at any time, and you do not need to ask me first:
- YouTube: remove Onwards Scheduler on your Google account’s security settings page, https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Once access is revoked, the YouTube data the scheduler holds for your channel is deleted within 30 days.
- Instagram and Facebook: remove the app under Business Integrations in your Facebook settings.
- TikTok: remove the app under Manage app permissions in the TikTok app’s settings.
Revoking access stops the stored credential working straight away. To have everything the scheduler holds about your account deleted, including post records and files, email yash@onwards.marketing and I will delete it within 7 days and confirm when it is done.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). The main privacy policy sets these out in full.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and I will tell the owners of connected accounts directly about anything that affects them.
